  • Final Form Cooler'sdebut on the list is a perfect 10/10, as he becomes the first Fighter to joinGod Tiersincethe dreaded Droids duo. He's worthy of this placement for several reasons, the main one being how he single-handedly caused a major Meta Shift, in terms of how matchups are played. Until a few weeks ago, Super Saiyans reigned supreme in the Meta, as pretty much any team involvingthe Ultra duo ofSuper GogetaandSuper Vegitowas guaranteed to be a serious threat in high-ranked PVP. Cooler doesn't completely wipe them off the meta, but his Element Disadvantage-control tools and his Lock-In Effects tackle those two Fighters pretty effectively. In particular, the Lock-In makesCoolerincredibly oppressive against any Yellow opponent, so Super Vegito, who arguably was the best Fighter in the Meta prior to Cooler's release, took a significant hit.
  • Z tierhas been shuffled a bit.BothSuper Gogeta and Super Vegito go down due to reasons stated above - Although Gogeta only took a slight hit, since he's on Cooler's best Team -.Mastered Ultra Instinct Gokualso went down a bit since he fit really well with the two Fusion Warriors on several of his best Teams, andSSJ Trunks LFwent down a Tier, as Future has been stagnant in the past few updates, and his Super Saiyan Tag surely doesn't help it againstCoolereither, making Builds that don't include him a bit more popular.
  • S tierstill seesMajin Vegetaas its leader, mainly because he's probably the best answer to Cooler in the Meta. For similar reasons,Vegito Bluegot bumped up from Tier 1, although he's not quite as great and self-sufficient as the Saiyan Prince.Revive Gohan's stock has also been raising, since Revive Efffects have started to be really impactful again after a long drought, so he's generally seen as a pretty decent third slot unit on Sagas Warriors.
  • A couple S tier veteransdropped to Tier 1, namely LFSSJ Trunks BLUandLF FP Frieza:the first becauseCoolermakes pretty much all of his Defensive tools meaningless, which meansVegito Blueis a preferable option on Future; the second because while he still is the best Yellow Lineage of Evil Fighter and the Team got stronger thanks to Cooler's arrival, he's just not that much of a Core Fighter anymore, the others on the Team are simply more useful at the moment.Tienshinhanalso dropped to Tier 1, as he's just a niche Leader option at this point.Zenkai SSJ Gokuadded to top of tier 1, an uncommon placement for non LF Zenkai Fighters, but one he deserves since his strong Special Moves carry his overall Damage Output to impressive heights, and Endurance getting added to his kit was surely a nice surprise.

  • There isn't a truly dominant presence in the Meta right now, in the sense there is no broken Fighter that stands out compared to any other.UL Super Vegito YELis probably the best Fighter in the Game thanks to how he combines incredible Offensive capabilities with great Defensive skills, and most importantly convenient Element Disadvantage removal capabilities, but Fighters likeSP UI Goku REDandUL Super Gogeta BLUare basically at the same level, and often contribute to his greatness since they're mostly used on the same Team. SP Android 17 & 18REDdeclined a bit compared to the past, sinceRed-Red-Purplelineups are just not as effective anymore, but they're still very good and oppressive.
  • S Tiersees mostly Powerful Opponent Fighters at the top. In fact, the Team is very good thanks to its explosive Offensive potential, mixed with nifty disruptive Abilities such as Dragon Ball Destruction. Specifically, Lineage of Evil Fighters even have an identity of their own other than being an important part of Powerful Opponent, and as such most of their Team is in S tier.SP Tien BLUis a great Fighter to use as leader on many teams thanks to his universally good Anti-RR mechanic. He's not particularly great at anything else, but that thing alone is so good that it grants him a pretty solid mid-S tier placement.
  • The lower part of Tier 1got dropped to Tier 2,as the Tier was starting to become too big, withseveral Fighters around the bottom that have been feeling out of the Meta for months. However, the size of the tier hasn't been cut drastically, since some Fighters from S dropped as well. As a result, the current tier 1 is a mix of Fighters that can still pack a punch thanks to their raw Offense or Defense, or have niche Abilities that still make them relevant, likeHercule.
  • Tier 2also got cut, and it now contains mostly off-Meta Fighters that can still be used if youreally reallywant, and niche Supports that can still look somewhat useful around strong Fighters.
  • Tier 3has been removed, since it felt like it didn't have a purpose anymore. The Fighter in that tier were simply too bad to be used in PvP for the most part.

Tier God

What makes a Fighter ‘God Tier’?

God Tier represents those Fighters that are strong enough to determine the trajectory of the Meta by themselves. These are the Fighters that are generally considered "broken", as their set of Abilities is so remarkable that they're capable of winning matches on their own, something which elevates their Teams to the very highest spots of the Meta.

Tier Z

What makes a Fighter ‘Z Tier’?

Some of the best Fighters in the game.Fighters in this Tier not only own an Ability that exerts control over core game systems as well as multiple Teams that work with them, but very good Abilitiesthat make them incredibly difficult to deal with on many sides of the field, at any point of the Match.

What makes a Fighter 'S Tier'?

Not too drastically different from the Fighters in Z Tier, these Fighters have a few minuscule flaws that don’t let them take over the game consistently, or lack proper Tag Support which in turn compromises how well they perform. For the most part, these Fighters are consistently brought into PVP matches on upper S or Z Tier Teams.

Tier 1

What Makes a Fighter 'Tier 1'?

Fighters that are listed in tier 1 are generally solid enough to be used in the Meta, although most of them aren't nearly as impactful as S tier ones. Fighters that can be good, main options on Top Teams are favored in the ranking, however alternative Fighters aren't necessarily penalized, as their placement depends on how much worse the Team gets if they're on the Core, and how good they are in general.

Still, good Fighters for bad Teams are generally penalized, as having bad allies generally makes it harder for those Fighters to shine. For this reason, these types of Fighters need to have some really impactful Abilities to be on tier 1.

Why this Tier?

  • His dragon ball theft and Paralysis are really powerful and definitely give him a place on most Regeneration Teams, but the low odds of these effects actually being activated hurt him tactically.

  • He has tons of potent and flexible Strike Damage Buffs, but his base Strike Attack stat is pretty average.

Discussion:

SP Lord Slug BLU is an OK addition to the Regeneration Team and has a lot of Synergy with them if many other core Fighters are missing. However, his Blast Attack is low enough to put him at a disadvantage when forced to use those Attacks and his low average Defenses combined with his Health-relatedDamage Buffs make it a risky move to let him dip that low.

At this point, he's simply only useful for his Z-Ability.

Discussion:

SP Goku GRN’s lack of reduced cost for Blast Arts Cards as a Ranged Fighter, and the fact that he can struggle to do Damage early in the game holds him back a bit. He’s also exceptionally vulnerable to any Fighter in the game that can remove Attribute Upgrades.

Still, he’s outrageously durable, and gets increasingly scary the longer the game goes on. His Ultimate Move has the potential to kill some Fighters in one blow

Discussion:

For a Fighter that toyed with Super Buu in the anime, SP Ultimate Gohan GRN didn’t live up to the hype. His clunkiness, offputting Z-Ability, fragility, and one-dimensional Offensive output was a death sentence from his release, and he’s now being power crept to boot.

  • Of course he's excessively fragile and doesn't do damage, but his paralysis and lock-in via Main Ability make him viable.

Discussion

In a meta full of units that can kill most in one or two combos, Hercule's automatic paralysis inflicted on all enemies when he enters the battlefield (activates twice) can make all the difference. The Poison affliction doesn't hurt, either. His Main Ability also inflicts the enemy with "No Switching" for 10 timer counts, which can cause serious matchup issues for the opposing team.

What makes a Fighter 'Tier 2'?

Tier 2 is for Fighters that aren't that impactful on their ownin the meta, or Fighters that could shine if their team wasn't mediocre. Also, if a Fighter is in this tier, it doesn't necessarily mean he's objectively bad, as the reason could also be that the meta isn't very favorable for him at a specific point in time.
