On August 8, 9 and 10, Vienna will become the place to be for all Taylor Swift fans: the superstar will be performing on three evenings in the sold-out Ernst Happel Stadium. Here are our top five tips for a perfect stay in Vienna for all Swifties – even for those who did not manage to get tickets for the concerts.
Vienna will be buzzing with excitement come the start of August: Taylor Swift is coming to the city for three concerts as part of her Eras Tour. More than 150,000 fans will be there live at the Ernst Happel Stadium. Although the concerts have long been sold out, all Swifties (as Taylor Swift's fans are called) can celebrate together in Vienna before and after the live shows.
Taylor Swift parties in Vienna
Parties featuring Taylor Swift’s music will take place in Vienna on all three days of the live shows.
- On August 9, fans will be drawn to the legendary Camera Club in Vienna. The unofficial “Taylor Swift Inspired Dance Party & Eras Tour After Party” starts here at 11 pm. Admission is open to anyone aged 18 and over. Presale tickets.
- From August 8 to 10, fans will have the opportunity to party before and after the Taylor Swift shows at CellaVie Vienna (Stadtbahnbögen 175, 1090 Vienna). The “Daytime Parties” (no age limit) will take place from 1 pm to 5 pm and the “Aftershow Parties” (for anyone aged 16 and over) from 11 pm to 4.30 am. Tickets
- For three days (August 8 to 10), the Swiftie Rooftop Party with a 360-degree view over Vienna will also take place at Das Loft in the Hotel SO/ Vienna. The party starts at 8.30 pm and Taylor's hits will be played until 2 am for everyone over 21. Tickets for 20 euros
Listen to the concert and buy merch
Even without Taylor Swift tickets, a visit to the Ernst Happel Stadium concert venue is still worthwhile for Swifties – primarily because you can buy official Taylor Swift merch there. However, it will also be possible to listen to the Eras Tour concerts outside the stadium and in the nearby Prater. Here’s a tip for you: the support band “Paramore” is also worth listening to. And while you’re there, you can also go for a spin through the legendary Wurstelprater amusem*nt park and ride Vienna’s Giant Ferris Wheel.
We recommend traveling by public transport.

A picnic for all the Swifties
On August 7, one day before the first concert, the Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Picnic will take place on the Arenawiese in the Prater (Rotundenallee 15, 1020 Vienna). The event will get underway at 3 pm. Fans from all over the world will be able to come together to make new friends and have a great time. The picnic has been privately organized. Guests will need to bring their own food and drinks. For more information, visit the account @the_folklore_cabin on Instagram.
Shop Taylor’s outfits
If you don’t yet have the perfect Taylor Swift outfit, you can buy one in Vienna. There is no better address for all things glittering than the Swarovski flagship store on Kärntner Strasse. Anyone looking to stock up on boots and the like at a reasonable price might find what they are looking for in one of Vienna’s many second-hand stores.
The day after: candlelight concert
A candlelight concert featuring Taylor Swift’s hits will be held in the magnificent Palais Coburg on Sunday, August 11, from 6 pm to 8 pm – but interpretated in completely new ways. At these two one-hour concerts, a string orchestra will perform songs such as Lavender Haze, Anti-Hero and Lover. Just the right thing to bring these three days of excitement to a quiet close. Tickets start from €41.50.
PS: The most liveable city in the world has much more to offer for all Taylor Swift fans. If you're just as fond of cats as Taylor, the Neko cat café or the Barista Cats are the perfect places for you. Fancy some culture in between? Then head to the new Wien Museum - for free. And don't be surprised if you come across open airs and festivals in the most unusual places during your visit to Vienna. It's cultural summer in Vienna. And there really is a lot going on.
