The M-DCPS Office of Instructional Recruitment and Staffing maintains a candidate pool of highly qualified Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teachers (K-12). A twelve-month Curriculum Support Specialist (CSS) who will support schools in addressing student mental health concerns. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating the collaboration of mental health services as well as providing professional development. The Curriculum Support Specialist serves as a leader and resource to the administration, schools, and staff. The Curriculum Support Specialist will provide direct support to parents/guardians, mental health professionals, and school teams with the coordination of mental health screening, interventions, and recovery. Applicants must have a master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, school counseling, or any other related area. Additionally, a minimum of three years of teaching experience or three years of experience in the areas of counseling or social work with a valid Temporary or Professional Florida Department of Education Certification is required. A twelve-month Curriculum Support Specialist (CSS) who will support schools as it relates to the district’s harm prevention and threat management program. This person is also responsible for assisting the department in ensuring that all school threat management team personnel are appropriately trained. The CSS will monitor Threat Assessment Reports, Student Support Plans, Monthly Logs, and other reportable items. This person will also help schools with access to the Threat Management Platform when submitting a report. The CSS serves as a leader and resource to administration, schools, and staff. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of teaching experience or three years of experience in the areas of counseling or social work. The Psychological Services department seeks full-time 12-month School Social Workers who will be assigned to support multiple schools. School Social Workers perform intakes, assessments, and intervention services that identify and address student academic and/or behavioral areas of need and strength. They provide mentoring and support counseling (individual/group) to students that address social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, as well as assist schools in addressing student disciplinary actions and truancy referrals according to district policies. School social workers shall adhere to the professional, ethical responsibilities delineated in the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and Standards for School Social Workers. The position requires a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) and candidates must be eligible or hold certification in Social Work PK-12 following the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) guidelines. Speech Language Pathologists Wanted:

The Office of Educational Services and Exceptional Student Education (ESE) announces immediate part-time and full-time openings for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs). Applicants must possess a master's degree and a current license in Speech-Language Pathology through the Florida Department of Health. Experience working with children is a plus. Office of Exceptional Student Education announces immediate part-time and full-time openings for school psychologists. Applicants must have experience working with children and possess either a current certificate in school psychology from the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) or be licensed as a psychologist through the Florida Department of Health. Teacher for Students with Visual Impairments (TVI)

Miami-Dade County Public Schools Division of Exceptional Student Education announces immediate openings for Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI). These are itinerant teaching positions requiring the teacher to travel to the students and are assigned schools to provide direct and/or consultative special education services relating to visual impairments. Applicants must have experience working with visually impaired children and possess or meet qualifications for Visually Impaired (grades K-12) certification from the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE).
